FAT DISSOLVING

Phosphatidylcholine & Deoxcholate

What is Fat Dissolving?

It consists of a mixture of phosphatidylcholine and deoxcholate which naturally occurs in the body that when injected, will permanently rid of the treated fat cells.  Get rid of stubborn pockets of fat in just a few quick treatments!

How Does it Work?

The PCDC mixture is injected in a grid like pattern in the area of concern where it disrupts the fat cell membrane. The fat cells absorb the PCDC and become slightly inflamed and burst , releasing their enzymes and fatty content. An inflammatory response begins, allowing the debris o be cleaned up by the macrophages that have migrated to the area.  This inflammation response is responsible for some redness, soreness and hardness. New collagen is then deposited in the area, causing tissue retraction with denser and firmer skin. The fat and and cellular debris that are removed are collected as waste and excreted through the body's normal metabolic pathways.

What Areas Can Be Treated and How Often?

Areas that can be treated include the inner and outer thighs, love handles, upper and lower back, chin, abdomen, jowls and back of arms. Most people return in 5 weeks and require 3-5 treatments to achieve desired results.

Are The Treatments Painful?

What Are The Side Effects?

There may be some localized discomfort upon injecting such as a burning sensation that can lasts a few hours after injection. Swelling will occur in the treated areas, soreness and inflammation for several days after treatment. It is important to know that these inflammatory side effects produce a tighter and smoother overlying skin.

What to Expect During Consultation

During the consultation, we will discuss and assess your areas of concern. Before treatment it is best to avoid alcohol, anti-inflammatories, aspirin, vitamin E and other n0nsteroidal inflammatory drugs three days prior. Bring loose fitting clothing if you are having areas of the body treated.

What to Expect During Treatment

The treatment area and surrounding skin will be cleansed. A grid like pattern will be drawn on the area to be treated. Multiple microinjections will be administered. The larger the treatment area, the more injections will be required. After the injections have been completed, the area will be massaged.

What to Expect Post Procedure

Discomfort such as burning can be experienced for a few hours post injection. Swelling will also occur. Bruising is also a possibility. The area should be massaged often to help facilitate the break down of the fat cells.
