PLATELET RICH PLASMA
What is a Platelet Rich Plasma Facial?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is derived from your own blood cells. We take your blood and are able to isolate these platelets to re-inject into the skin. PRP triggers our wound healing response and increases collagen production. We are able to use the platelets to directly inject into the skin or we can microneedle the PRP into the skin (Vampire Facial) or both! Due to its regenerative properties, it is a great treatment for hair restoration. Amazing for overall skin rejuvenation and glow.
What Does it Help With?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP) is great for:

What to Expect During Consultation
We begin all appointments with a consultation. During the consultation, we review he area(s) of concern, and review your medical history. It is important to fully disclose your medical history prior to treatment as certain allergies, skin & neurological conditions or medications can jeopardize your safety or results.
We will then complete a telemedicine consultation with the Nurse Practitioner who will be verifying your health history, dose and consent for treatment.
What to Expect During Treatment
We will begin the treatment by taking your blood. We will then spin it in the centrifuge for about 10 minutes. During this time, we will apply topical Lidocaine to the areas being treated. This will help numb the areas and make you more comfortable during the procedure. The nurse will draw up the platelets from the tube and prepare it for your treatment. The PRP may be used as a topical serum for microneedling, injected into the skin or both! The entire procedure takes about 1 hour.
What to Expect Post Procedure
You may experience swelling, redness, pain, itching, discoloration and tenderness at the injection site for a few hours. The use of Tylenol (acetaminophen) is permitted. If microneedling was also done, you may experience redness and flushing for 24 hours. Skin will feel warm and tight for 12-24 hours.
For 24 hours after treatment, refrain from strenuous physical activity, hot tubs/sauna, facials, alcohol, aspirin, or other over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications or supplements.
A series of 3 treatments is recommended for
optimal results. Your nurse will discuss appropriate skincare regimes for post treatment care.
